Did You Know?

~ With very few exceptions, essential oils should not be applied to your skin without proper dilution.

~ Some oils should not be used for children.

~ Some oils can interact with medication.

~ Oils have an expiration date.

~ Some oils can make you sensitive to the sun and more prone to sunburn.

~ Adulteration is a growing concern within the industry.  Adulterated oils are less effective and can present safety issues.

~ All essential oil labels should include the botanical/Latin name to distinguish between oils with the same “common” name.  This is important because each oil has specific therapeutic properties and safety precautions.

~ Third-party lab analysis (GC-MS) should be available for each batch of oil to help ensure quality.  Trained aromatherapists request this information when ordering oils.
